News Update - September 2021

Referendum Day 30th September 2021. Please remember to vote.

Dear All

Our Ombersley and Doverdale Neighbourhood Plan has now completed all its statutory consultations and examination and you will shortly be asked the following question at a referendum on 30th September:

"Do you want Wychavon district council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Ombersley and Doverdale to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"

Who Can Vote?

All adults living in the parish who are on the electoral register will be eligible to vote, and will receive election papers in the same way as in any other election.

  • If you are of age and not registered then you can register by contacting the Returning Officer, Civic Centre, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Pershore, WV10 1PT, but must do so by 14th September.
  • If you need to amend the details of your current registration or appoint someone to vote for you then you need to contact the same address before 5pm on 15th September. If you are registered already for a postal vote then this will still happen, as in any other type of election.

Final Plan

The final plan can be seen here on our Toad website, under NDP documents, entitled Omberlsey and Doverdale NDP June 2021, or may be seen on the Wychavon website: www.wychavon.gov.uk/planning/planning-policy/neighbourhood-planning/ombersley-and-doverdale-neighbourhood-plan

Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions it has been difficult to organise public open consultations, but anyone wishing to view a hard copy of the plan or ask any questions then a parish councillor will be present at the following venues and times:

  • Ombersley Memorial Hall tea rooms 2-4pm on Tuesday 7th September.
  • Jubilee Room, Ombersley Memorial Hall 10am -12midday on Saturday 11th September, when you are welcome to join us for coffee.

We Need Your Vote

We need your votes. More than 50% of those who vote have to say yes to the question asked for the plan to be accepted as part of future planning policy by Wychavon until 2030.

Please make you opinions count and cast your vote on 30th September.

Sue CollierMany thanks for all your support and interest in following Toad over the last 4 years.

Calling all Volunteers

If you feel that you would like to help, we need volunteers. The Parish Council cannot do this by themselves.  We need help with planning, communications, secretarial support, data analysis, IT and graphic design, and we will need help for manning drop-ins, coffee mornings, leaflet posting, photography and so on.

Everyone welcome!
