Dear All
NDP Submission
The draft of our Neighbourhood Development Plan has now been submitted to Wychavon. It has taken over 3 years to reach this point and we would like to thank all of you who have helped, supported and commented to enable us to reach this stage.
Following the public consultation last autumn we received 50 responses. Some were from individuals within the parish and others were from organisations which we have a statutory duty to consult. Thank you to all those of you who took the time to read the plan and to those who forwarded comments, especially given the unusual times we are experiencing in the pandemic.
The comments were collated and analysed by our independent professional planning adviser, and where thought necessary amendments have been recommended. Once agreed, the revised document was put before the Parish Council, and at their February meeting submission of the plan was authorised.
Download the documents
You can download the Submission Draft Neighbourhood Development Plan here together with the Consultation Statement of how we engaged opinion and the comments received. There is also a copy of the Basic Conditions Statement showing how we have complied with national policies etc. in drawing up our proposed policies.
What happens next?
Public Consultation (Regulation 16)
Upon receipt of the documentation Wychavon District Council will arrange a further public consultation (known as Regulation 16). This has been scheduled to start on 26th February and end on 16th April 2021 at 5pm and gives you an opportunity to comment on the submission draft document. Click here to see the latest Neighbourhood Planning information on the Wychavon District Council website.
Independent Scrutineer
Wychavon then arranges an independent scrutineer to examine the documents, make comment and to make a judgement as to whether the plan is to be forwarded for a referendum. The parish council will have the opportunity to make further revisions of the plan at this stage dependent upon any comments made by the scrutineer.
Community Referendum
If considered fit for purpose the plan will be the subject of a community referendum organised by the District Council. If more than 50% of those who vote agree with it then the plan is passed to Wychavon for formal adoption. The plan would then sit alongside National Planning Policy guidelines and the South Worcestershire Development Plan in determining the outcome of future planning applications within the parish. In this way as a community we have a say in future development in the parish.
We will keep you informed of our progress.
With kind regards
Sue Collier
