News Update - July 2018

Thank you to all who have helped TOAD in every way. Here is a round up of the latest news for June and July.

1) Church Fete - 23rd June 2018

Thank you to all who helped man and to those who visited the TOAD stand at the Church Fete on Saturday 23rd June. It was a splendid day (as can be seen from the photos on the right) and we enjoyed meeting you all.

2) Open Spaces Survey Report

Thanks to all those who completed the open spaces survey. Not surprisingly the ‘Wedding Field’ and the Memorial Hall field came top.  Some useful other suggestions, not on the survey, were made and have been helpful to the Toad team. Jim Callow has evaluated your choices and presented these in an excellent report. You can access this from the DOWNLOADS / GENERAL DOCUMENTS menu, or just click here instead! It makes great reading.

3) 'Vistas' Survey coming soon!

Look out for the next survey, coming soon, on important vistas in the Parish. Which ones are important to you, historically and environmentally, and which ones would you not wish to see blighted by development in housing, solar farms, polytunnels etc?

4) September Questionnaires

The toad team are busy working on questionnaires to local service providers (schools, doctors etc) and businesses. This will enable us to include 'commercial' views in our plan, which is important if we are going to arrive at a Neighbourhood Plan that has the support of all.

Also, a questionnaire to every household will be coming in the early Autumn. The latter will be hand delivered and collected, and we may be calling for volunteers to help deliver them in your area later this summer.

Sue CollierAnd lastly ...

We are always interested in hearing your news and views, so if you have any thoughts, ideas or comments that you would like to make please do get in touch.

With kind regards

Calling all Volunteers

If you feel that you would like to help, we need volunteers. The Parish Council cannot do this by themselves.  We need help with planning, communications, secretarial support, data analysis, IT and graphic design, and we will need help for manning drop-ins, coffee mornings, leaflet posting, photography and so on.

Everyone welcome!
