Get involved in the Neighbourhood Plan

There is a formal process and it is likely to take 2-3 years. Everyone on the electoral register will have the right to approve or disapprove the proposed plan at a referendum. Over 50% of those who vote need to agree before a plan can be accepted. First and foremost the whole process must be community led by the residents with the Parish Council acting as co-ordinators. We need your help and support to identify what you want to include in the plan. Please work with the TOAD team to share your views and make this worthwhile. Details of the process are available on https://www.wychavon.gov.uk/neighbourhood-planning, but are easier to read and understand on www.herefordshire.gov.uk neighbourhood plan guidelines. The GOV website is also a very good source of information - see https://www.gov.uk/guidance/neighbourhood-planning--2

What can I do to help Toad?

  • Keep a look out for updates on posters and this website
  • Come to public meetings and drop-ins to give us your opinions and ideas
  • Register your email address on this website so we can keep you updated and seek your views. We have approximately 2,500 people in 1,000 homes to reach out to, and it will be much quicker and easier to do so online. You can register your address via our website.

Everyone’s opinion matters!

-  If you feel that you would like to help, we need volunteers. The Parish Council cannot do this by themselves.  We need help with planning, communications, secretarial support, data analysis, IT and graphic design, and we will need help for manning drop-ins, coffee mornings, leaflet posting, photography and so on. Please get in touch with Councillor Susan Collier, This email address is being protected from spambots.
